Abstract:We propose in this paper a knowledge-based framework for a mobile OLAP. Its main goal is to allow decision-makers to, efficiently, access datasets in OLAP system anywhere and anytime. The challenge of this work is to be able to improve decisional performances while overcoming capability context. To achieve this goal, the framework integrates in a systematic, generic and extensible way, knowledge in the context-aware recommender process, on one hand. On the other hand, it proposes contextual recommendations. For that purpose, the context-aware recommender system exploits the knowledge extracted (profile in a particular situation 'contextual profile') automatically and the current user's contextual profile to compute a list of contextual recommendations (analysis) adapted to the capability context. We conducted a set of experiments to evaluate the performance of our knowledge-based framework. Abstract. To meet the new, more sophisticated needs of decision makers, a new generation of BI systems is emerging. In this paper we focus on two enabling technologies for this new generation, namely distribution and personalization. In particular, to support complex business scenarios where multiple partner companies cooperate towards a common goal, we outline a distributed architecture based on a network of collaborative, autonomous, and heterogeneous peers, each offering monitoring and decision support functionalities to the other peers. Then we discuss some issues related to OLAP query reformulation on peers, showing how it can be achieved using semantic mappings between the local multidimensional schemata of peers. Finally, as to personalization, we discuss the benefits of annotating OLAP queries with preferences, focusing in particular on how preferences enable peer heterogeneity in a distributed context to be overcome.

Abstract-This study reveals comparison of behaviour patterns between students of medicine and IT students, regarding their use of forums and wiki. Olap techniques is used with in order to determine possible differences. The research was conducted based on the Moodle logs for learning management at Technical Faculty in Cacak, and Medical Faculty in Belgrade. Obtained results point towards the significant differences between these two groups, and the need for content adjustments in courses according to characteristics of different student sets.
