Applying the Behaviour Change Wheel: insights into the development of the breastfeeding component of the Baby Buddy smartphone app

Abstract: BackgroundBreastfeeding plays a major role in the health of mothers and babies and has the potential to positively shape an individual’s life both in the short and long-term. In the United Kingdom (UK), despite around 81% of women initiating breastfeeding, only 1% of women breastfeed exclusively to 6 months as recommended by the World Health Organisation (WHO).
