Abstract:A highly effective green technique for the synthesis of bis(indolyl) methanes mediated by ‘Aqueous Extract of Dillenia indica’ (AEDI) is developed. The reaction involves a simple procedure at a moderate temperature of below 60 °C in air within a short reaction time of 30–60 minutes under conditions free from external promoters, acids, ligands/organic media using our natural water–extracted catalyst, affording moderate to high yield.
