Abstract:A field of spring wheat in Murdo, S. Dak., was naturally infested with an average of 1.16 army cutworms/ft2. The field was divided into plots (40 ft2) and treated with Lorsban, Asana and untreated checks with 3 replications. Applications (13 Apr) were made using a 6 nozzle (flat-fan 8002E), 6 ft boom with a CO2 (29 psi, 20 gpa) spray canister system. Counts were made 5 and 12 DAT to determine efficacy. Twelve samples (2 ft2 each) were made randomly in the central portion of each plot.
