ASEE Student Chapters: Perspectives on and Preparation for Higher Education

Abstract: The objective of this paper is to introduce an American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) Student Chapter, highlighting the purpose of developing a student chapter and the activities one can provide. The Purdue University Student Chapter, formed in the spring of 1993 as the first student ASEE chapter, has a threefold mission in providing relevant information to graduate students, undergraduate students, and underrepresented groups.
