Abstract: Aspirin desensitization has established itself as an additional therapy option in the treatment of aspirin- exacerbated respiratory disease, recurrent chronic rhinosinusitis and nasal polyps. Inpatient treatment is strongly recommended due to the risk of life-threatening side effects. In addition, the necessary requirements, indications and contraindications should be carefully considered from a medicolegal perspective.
