Abstract:Parkinson's disease (PD) is a multifactorial, progressive neurodegenerative disease that has a profound impact on those it afflicts. Its hallmark pathophysiology is characterized by degeneration of dopaminergic neurons in the midbrain which trigger a host of motor and non-motor symptoms.
