Assessment of Seakeepability

Abstract: This paper attempts to apply presently available knowledge of ship model behavior in regular waves to the prediction of trends of ship performance in realistic irregular wave patterns. Performance is studied in the terms of tendency to ship water forward and to slam, and of magnitude of heaving accelerations.
