Abstract:Context
Radius quantitative ultrasound measurement, that utilized a portable low-frequency (VLF) axial transmission ultrasound for assessing the properties of radius cortical bone in a non PHPT population revealed a possible role as a screening tool prior to DXA to evaluate fragility fracture.
Objective
To evaluate this portable ultrasound device as a screening tool of skeletal fragility in PHPT patients.
