Abstract: Decompression sickness (DCS) is a systemic syndrome that can occur after an environmental pressure reduction. Previously, we showed that the plasmatic tetrameric form of transthyretin (TTR) nearly disappeared in rats suffering DCS but not in asymptomatic ones.
