Association of the correlation between age-related renal failure and osteoporosis based on trabecular bone score in Bushehr Elderly Health (BEH) program

Abstract: Purpose Osteoporosis is a systemic disease characterized by decreased strength of bone and increased risk of fracture in old age. Age and pathologic renal failure are independent risk factors for osteoporosis. However, it is not determined whether age related decreased renal function in the context of senescence can be considered as an independent risk factor for osteoporosis.
