Abstract: Background Decreased strength and increased stiffness of the quadriceps have been associated with a higher risk of developing knee osteoarthritis (OA) in elders. Dynamic joint stiffness (DJS) represents collective resistance from active and passive knee structures for dynamic knee motions.
