Abstract:Barium titanate (BaTiO3) is a ferroelectric material without toxic elements, whose ferroelectric properties such as permittivity, coercive field, and spontaneous polarization are affected by the nucleation of domains of reversed polarization and the motion of domain walls. Dislocations can act as obstacles to domain‐wall migration or as active sites for domain nucleation. Thus, studies are conducted on the utilization of dislocations to improve the ferroelectric properties of BaTiO3. However, the atomistic mec… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
