Abstract

BACKGROUND Geographical and economic barriers limit access to healthcare services in rural regions of Colombia OBJECTIVE To design and validate a tele-rehabilitation model using video broadcasting for asynchronous therapy METHODS A case study in San Vicente del Caguán, evaluating the effectiveness of physical, occupational, and speech therapy. RESULTS The model was validated, demonstrating feasibility in improving access and clinical effectiveness in rural areas. CONCLUSIONS The model is an effective solution that requires technological infrastructure and inclusive policies to maximize its impact
