Abstract:Although the main international research thrust on self-assembled epitaxial semiconductor quantum dots is currently being directed towards random alloy quantum dots, the suggestion is made that atomically ordered quantum dots which are grown by either epitaxy or endotaxy may in addition to their larger quantum confinement potentials possess superior long term structural stability. Such atomically ordered quantum dots should, therefore, be superior to random alloy quantum dots as far as prospective device appli… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
