“…SARS-CoV-2 RNA appeared inside the air conditioner and the air samplers, or on object surfaces more than 2 m away from patients, within only 20 min after the patients registered into the ward ( Santarpia et al, 2020 ), which shows that the airflow can take the virus aerosol particles from the patient bed to the edge of the room by ventilation. A full-scale test by ( Ai et al, 2019 ) has revealed the transmission characteristics of the exhaled aerosol in the air and they have shown that people near the virus carriers have a relatively high exposure risk, especially those facing the infectious person.…”
