Abstract:Computer aided design (CAD) models are the starting point for many downstream applications such as mesh generation, structural/fluid/thermal analysis, rapid prototyping, numerical controlled machining, casting, computer graphics. Each of these downstream applications are strongly dependent on the accuracy and consistency of the input geometry, but due to numerical problems, imprecise design, software idiosyncrasies, or data exchange issues, the surface patches produced at the CAD step may abut within unpredict… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
