Avaliação da efetividade de soluções desinfetantes em filmes radiográficos periapicais

Abstract

Devido à necessidade de controle de infecção cruzada em procedimentos radiográficos intrabucais, este trabalho propôs-se a testar a efetividade das soluções desinfetantes: hipoclorito de sódio a 0,5% e 1%, glutaraldeído 2% e álcool 77%v/v nas superfícies dos filmes periapicais. A amostra foi composta por 64 filmes que foram intencionalmente contaminados e, posteriormente, descontaminados nas respectivas soluções, por imersão, nos tempos de 30 e 60 segundos. A avaliação foi feita por coleta de material das superfícies dos filmes e semeadura em placas com BHI ágar, observando-se o crescimento ou não das colônias bacterianas. Das soluções testadas, o glutaraldeído 2% e a solução de Milton se mostraram efetivos na desinfecção dos filmes, o álcool 77%v/v foi efetivo para o tempo de 1 minuto de imersão e o líquido de Dakin permitiu o crescimento bacteriano em ambos os tempos.

Efficacy and effectiveness of alcohol in the disinfection of semi-critical materials: a systematic review
