AVALIAÇÃO DE PLANTAS COM ATIVIDADE DETERRENTE ALIMENTAR EM Spodoptera frugiperda (J.E.SMITH) E Anticarsia gemmatalis HUBNER

Abstract: Avaliou-se a atividade inibidora de alimentação de plantas nativas do Mato Grosso do Sul, utilizando lagartas dos insetos-pragas Spodoptera frugiperda e Anticarsia gemmatalis como organismos testes. Show more

“…Regarding O. manjorona, the difference between values shown in Table 1 and Table 2 was much smaller, but for Citrus sp. the percentage of germinated spores was about four times less in the former Table. Probably, it ocurred due to differences in the plant collecting period, which can influence metabolite production (SAITO et al, 2004).…”

“…Among the functions of these compounds used to control pest insects, the insecticide, a sterilizing action, or that only drive insects away from plants, such as repellents and food inhibitors, stand out (Saito et al, 2004). The repellent activity is the most common of EOs and its major components, whose action occurs through interaction with the insect's integument through contact, causing even asphyxia, also can to acting on digestive and neurological enzymes.…”
