Aviator: a web service for monitoring the availability of web services

Abstract: With Aviator, we present a web service and repository that facilitates surveillance of online tools. Aviator consists of a user-friendly website and two modules, a literature-mining based general and a manually curated module. “…We collected 17 resources with a focus on their availability and SARS-CoV-2 relevance using Aviator [11], a tool for monitoring web services based on literature, OverCOVID (http://bis.zju.edu.cn/overcovid/resource.html), and our experience in daily work in SARS-CoV-2 surveillance. We excluded all non-molecular surveillance tools and non-working tools (although still online), resulting in this selection: GESS [12], Global evolution of SARS-CoV-2 [13], EMBL-EBI COVID-19 Data Portal [4], GISAID CoVSurver [6], CovidPhy [14], Coronavirus3D, NCBI, PathogenWatch, Nextstrain [8], CoV-GLUE [15], Outbreak, coVariants, CoV-Spectrum [10], COG-UK Mutation Explorer, COVID-19 variant dashboard, CoVerage, and Monitor of SARS-CoV-2 variants (Table S1).…”
