Abstract:Detecting antibodies in blood is as simple as it can get. In their Communication on page 15369 ff., D. Citterio, M. Merkx et al. integrate antibody‐targeting bioluminescent sensing proteins and other essential assay components into a microfluidic paper‐based analytical device. A drop of blood, a digital camera, and twenty minutes are all that is required to detect the presence and the concentration of multiple antibodies in whole blood based on the color of the emitted light.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
