The values obtained in Figure 3 show a clear departure of the values measured in these mining sites from ambient background ionizing radiation levels and the values are higher than those obtained in similar solid mineral mining sites in Abia State South-East of Nigeria and the background radiation level of Offa industrial area of Kwara State [6] [14].
