Abstract:Background: Prior studies indicated increased antimicrobial resistance in Ethiopia, with related health, economic, and environmental costs. Knowing an institutions and population microbiologic profile allows for proper antibiotic treatment, which substantially impact patients’ outcomes such as healthcare related costs, morbidity, and mortality.
