Abstract:How often have we heard the quote attributed to Sullivan (1896), "Form follows function"? Viollet-le-Duc ( 2023) is described as having earlier said, "a rationally designed structure may not necessarily be beautiful, but no building can be beautiful that does not have a rationally designed structure."
