Certain groups of determinants (economic, environmental, social, healthcare) with the highest vulnerability identify the reasons for regional differentiation in morbidity and mortality from COVID-19. This defines the necessity to find appropriate combinations of factors characterizing the vulnerability of a region. The methodology and tools to explain the regional specifics of population vulnerability to COVID-19 are investigated through a systematic consideration of many public health factors, environmental, social and economic specific nature of regions. The aim of the article is to study the reasons for regional differentiation of population vulnerability (morbidity and mortality rates) from COVID-19. The authors investigate a nonlinear spatial model in which the stepwise algorithm of individual factor variables is added/removed from the model specifications step by step by the Aitken method depending on their correlation with morbidity and mortality from COVID-19 in the region. The Farrar-Glober method is used to eliminate the multicollinearity of factors, the Spearman test is used to detect the heteroskedastic effect, and the Darbin-Watson test is used to check the presence of autocorrelation between the residues. As a result, the specification of the model with the highest adequacy in terms of p-value and tstatistics is formed. Relevant socioecological-economic vulnerability indices of regions to mortality and morbidity from COVID-19 are identified. The obtained results allow making adjustments in the state and regional programs concerning the mobilization of economic and healthcare systems.

The main goal of this paper is to research differences that start to change consumer behavior in the digital era since the advent of COVID 19. The events associated with the pandemic that led to increased social distance and complete lockdown undoubtedly affect not only the economic situation territories and countries in general, but also on the behavior of each individual. The situation that has arisen has forced more and more consumers to meet their needs with the help of digital tools, and this process has some special characteristics. The article shows the results of analytical and comparative analysis of the changes in consumer behavior in the digital space since the onset of the pandemic. It was researched trends change consumer demand in the study categories via Google Trends. The practical study was conducted on the basis of the analysis of changes in consumer behavior and their preferences in the direction of recreation and tourism, where the data of a sociological survey of Azerbaijani citizens to study the potential impact of COVID-19 on the tourism industry was used. The survey was conducted on April 13-21, 2020 by a team of researchers from the University of Northampton (UK), the National Institute of Geophysics, Geodesy and Geography – Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, University of National and World Economy (Bulgaria). According to the results of the study, conclusions were drawn that give new challenges to the development of marketing in the digital environment, namely: digital tools have had rapid unpredictable development since the COVID-19 pandemic, and remain as high level in demand after easing restrictive measures; entrepreneurship was not ready for such quick transformation; after the first interactions in digital space, the consumer has a stable experience of interaction with specific brands, but they disappoint the expectations of consumers in a personalized contact. Based on the conclusions, an algorithm for building relationships with consumers and increasing their level of loyalty in the digital environment is proposed. The results of this study could be used in the implementation of marketing goals of representatives of different levels of business structures, governments.

Este artículo analiza la relación entra la economía y el marketing desde cuatro perspectivas teóricas. En primer lugar, consideramos la economía neoclásica, la cual plantea un esquema basado en un consumidor racional y optimizador. En general este esquema está en discrepancia con los planteamientos del marketing, en tanto este último opera en gran parte influyendo sobre aspectos no racionales. En segundo lugar, analizamos la economía conductual, la cual identifica múltiples sesgos cognitivos en las decisiones de compra. En este caso, la relación con el marketing resulta estrecha en tanto se busca utilizar los sesgos para moldear el comportamiento del consumidor. En tercera instancia, consideramos el paradigma de la neuroeconomía, que estudia el proceso de decisión desde la perspectiva del sistema nervioso central. Aquí la relación se da fundamentalmente en términos del llamado neuromarketing, que utiliza el conocimiento sobre el mencionado sistema para impulsar las ventas, el posicionamiento de la marca y la lealtad del consumidor. Finalmente, analizamos la economía institucional, la cual concibe al individuo como un ser que actúa de acuerdo a hábitos y costumbres. También en este caso se halla una relación directa, por cuanto el marketing puede influir sobre ambas dimensiones.
