Basic Study for Realizability of a Telescopic Microphone System by Using Sensor Array

Abstract: This paper newly proposes a telescopic microphone system that may establish the high sensitivity and SNR, and narrow directivity, by using passive dynamic focusing and spherical wave synthesis with a sensor array. Based on the fundamental construction of the system. its realizability is basically examined through numberical analysis, from the viewpoints of sensitivity, directivity, and RMS error of the synthesized output.
