Significant increases of the frequencies of ENA can occur due to increased production of lipid peroxidation in the blood cells of fish after exposure to the higher temperature (Walia et al, 2013;Bai et al, 2014;Ghaffar et al, 2015). Similarly, significant increases of the frequencies of ECA might be due to morphological changes in the plasma membrane that cause surface deformation and render the erythrocytes more susceptible to burst when traversing small capillaries.…”
