Benign Breast Disorders and Their Association With Thyroid Disorders

Abstract

BACKGROUND The evidence that breast diseases and thyroid disorders are related is ever increasing. Many recent publications have highlighted the relation of breast cancer to hyperthyroidism. It has led to many institutions screening patients with breast cancer for thyroid disorders. We wanted to find the likelihood of patients with benign breast diseases having thyroid disorders.
