Abstract: Bevacizumab (BCZ), commercially known as Avastin, is a monoclonal antibody that targets vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). Initially recognized as a breakthrough in oncology, it has since gained FDA approval for various ocular conditions and more recently, for the treatment of glioblastoma multiforme (GBM).
