Beyond donation to organ utilization in the USA

Abstract: Purpose of reviewThe deceased donor organ pool has broadened beyond young, otherwise healthy head trauma victims. But an abundance of donated organs only benefits patients if they are accepted, expeditiously transported and actually transplanted.
