Abstract:Isospin is a fundamental symmetry in nature and can be used to gleam information on nuclear structure. Within the charge independence hypothesis of the nuclear force, the Coulomb energy component of nuclear mass can be described as an isospin dependent function through the Isobaric multiplet Mass Equation. This symmetry has been studied in a recent up-to-date and complete evaluation of ground state Isobaric Analogue State masses and the associated Isobaric Multiplet Mass Equation coefficients have been extract… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
