Abstract:The bicuspid aortic valve (BAV) is the most common congenital cardiac abnormality. Though most often isolated, BAV may be associated with other cardiovascular malformations. BAV-related aortopathy is the most common, sharing genetic alterations and phenotypic heterogeneity characteristics.
