Cost managers in China have established cost control information platform for a construction phase, based on BIM5D technology, allowing for the timely and efficient integration of all cost data throughout the construction phase. However, only a small amount of study has examined BIM5D's potential for controlling building costs. Therefore, the Glodon BIM5D software is used in this study to shed some light on the software's benefit, in the construction sector who were directly involved in projects using Glodon identify the factors that influenced the development of BIM5D and propose efficient strategies to improve the software's usage in construction cost control. Key personnel BIM5D were interviewed in semi-structured interviews using a case study approach to gather data for this study. Six informants from two projects were interviewed. Interestingly, Glodon’s high mobility capabilities were found a new finding in relation to the benefit of the application of the software. The most significant obstacles in using the software were cost and usability. Finally implementing effective talent development programs to improve the skills and capabilities of employees, enabling them to leverage BIM5D, was found one of the most effective strategies in this study. This study contributed significantly to introducing Glodon BIM5D software and promoting its adoption within the organization, leading to improved efficiency and effectiveness of cost control in a project environment

The delay in the physical progress of construction creates additional costs, missed deadlines, and quality issues. The research aimed to estimate the physical progress of the project by using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and building information modeling (BIM). The methodology comprised capturing 848 high-resolution images of the Civil Engineering Laboratory construction site at the National University of Jaen, Cajamarca, Peru, using the Phantom 4 RTK drone. The photographs were processed using Agisoft 2.0.1 software, resulting in a point cloud. This was then imported into ReCap Pro 2023 software, which was used to assess the quality of the points. The Revit 2023 software was subsequently utilized to establish the phase parameters, linking the BIM model with the point cloud, filtering the model, and eventually exporting it to the Power BI 2023 software. The work's estimated progress utilizing the proposed methodology was 42.82%, which was not statistically significant compared to the Public Works Information System (INFOBRAS) of 43.14%. This allows for the automation of customary processes, the identification of crucial issues, and prompt decision-making. The study's originality lies in the suggestion of integrating aerial imagery with drones and BIM modeling for the real-time and precise estimation of work progression. The article presents the results of a regional study of the training of engineering staff for the agricultural complex of Stavropol Krai (expert assessments of the professional community). The scientific publications’ review of the science-intensive Scopus database confirms the relevance of the study not only for Russia, but also for many other regions of the world. 69 people took part in the expert survey – representatives of enterprises and organizations of the agro-industrial complex of the region (holding engineering management positions). We made the theoretical substantiation of approaches in the expert assessment of training processes. Thereafter, we implemented survey procedures in the engineering professional environment of Stavropol Krai in the empirical part of the study. On this basis we substantiated the conclusions: the high interest of the engineering professional community in organizing strategic cooperation with higher education organizations in the region for graduate training; willingness to participate in the educational process of the university, the organization of practical training of engineering staff, evaluation procedures of an independent qualification examination, professional and public accreditation.
