Bimetallic Network with Hetero‐interfacial Plasmons

Abstract: semiconductors with different plasmonic nanostructures resonant within different optical energy bands. Therefore, plasmonic heterostructures involve combined photophysical processes of these two quasi particles of localized surface plasmons (LSPs), where two plasmonic units are arranged with a small gap. These two units may have different metallic materials, [21,22] different shapes, [23,24] different sizes, [25,26] or different compositions. [27] The gaps width between them are generally smaller than 20 nm fo… Show more

“…The hybrid plasmonic structures have also been achieved by embedding silver nanoparticles into the hole space of a gold nanowire network [31]. Figure 6a shows the SEM image of such a structure and (Figure 6b) demonstrates the dark-field scattering image.…”

“…Nanostructured noble metals, including gold, and silver nanostructures [29][30][31][32][33][34], are the main group of materials that are utilized in ultrafast plasmonic optical switches. In an earlier work, waveguide gold nanowire grating has been demonstrated as a femtosecond optical switch, as shown in Figure 8A [19].…”
