Abstract: Scedosporium apiospermum is an emerging opportunistic fungal pathogen responsible for life-threatening infections in immunocompromised patients. This fungus exhibits limited susceptibility to all current antifungals and, due its emerging character, its pathogenicity and virulence factors remain largely unknown.
