“…Since B. mojavensis KJS-3 proved higher levels of activity (30 nM) of acid phosphatase that combined the cell wall and membrane against no activity in case of B. polyfermenticus KJS-2, B. mojavensis KJS-3 was more useful in metabolizing phosphates in acidic environments than B. polyfermenticus KJS-2 (Arora et al, 1990). Additionally, two strains proved digestive enzyme activity, but B. mojavensis KJS-3 has relatively low esterase activity (C4) related to lipid contents, and the other, activities of leucine arylamidase related to protein content and B. polyfermenticus KJS-2 proved β-galactosidase activity related to carbohydrate content (Moraiti-Ioannidou et al, 2009). B. mojavensis KJS-3 enables the prompt extraction of the more digestible components from a great number of food components because of the higher digestive enzyme contents of the bacterium (Le Vay et al, 2001).…”

“…Comparable to A. franciscana, the Egyptian strain under the present study showed no significant differences between them (53.5%); its protein content has been previously studied by many authors and was found to meet the essential requirement of many fish species (Claus, Benijts, Vandeputte, & Gardner, 1979). Other studies with other strains recorded protein content of 61, 56.2, and 54.03% in nauplii from Great Salt Lake strain (García-Ortega et al, 1998;Moraiti-Ioannidou, Castritsi-Catharios, Miliou, & Sorgeloos, 2009).…”
