“…Use of biological mass such as bacteria, fungi, yeast, plant extract or plant biomass, and algae extract, or biomass could be an alternative to these methods for the synthesis of nanoparticles in an eco-friendly manner, safely, less time consuming, and low cost ( El-Saadony et al, 2021a) . Powerful antioxidant and antifungal activity of obtained BioSeNPs attributable to reducing CRD incidence and counteracting drought and heat stress in wheat plant.…”

“…The culture of bacteria without ZnONPs was used as a negative control and Zn (NO 3 ) 2 ·6H 2 O was served as the positive control. The lower concentration inhibited bacterial growth was considered the MIC ( El-Saadony et al, 2021b ). The MBC was measured by sub-culturing the MIC levels onto sterile MH agar plates and incubated at 37 °C for 24 h. Then, the minimum concentration of ZnONPs that killed 100% of bacterial growth was considered MBC.…”

“…ZnONPs can be synthesized using several methods such as physical, chemical, and biological methods (by microbes or plants). The biological synthesis of NPs is safe, clean, biocompatible, and eco-friendly besides, the fast reduction of metal ions at ambient conditions of temperature unlike physical or chemical methods, they consume extensive energy or use toxic solvents, respectively ( El-Saadony et al, 2020a , Akl et al, 2020 , El-Saadony et al, 2019 , El-Saadony et al, 2021a , El-Saadony et al, 2021b ). From the biological methods used for the synthesis of NPs, fungus-mediated procedure gained great importance ( Thakkar et al, 2010 ).…”

“…White, red, and dark kidney beans ( Phaseolus vulgarus L.) members of Fabaceae , have a considerable content of protein (25–44%), and other nutrients [ 28 , 29 ]. Various studies investigated that common beans contributed in many diseases treatments, i.e., cancer and diabetes [ 30 ].…”
