Biomarkers in COPD – Challenging, Real or Illusive

Abstract: Biomarker research in COPD is becoming the most rapidly progressing sphere in respiratory medicine. Although “omics” generate a huge amount of biomarkers, fibrinogen is the only one validated by the European Medicines Agency.
