Bivoltametric titrations using electrodes with innovative geometry

Abstract: Electrodes with different surface areas were investigated for the determination of reversible, quasireversible, irreversible or electroinactive substrates. Two kinds of electrodes were constructed, a helical electrode with a given asymmetry and a platinum array electrode with a variable area. These electrodes were applied for the cerimetry of ammonium iron(II) sulfate and for the bromatometry of various organic substances. The theoretically derived effects on the shape of the voltametric titration curve are ve… Show more

“…Comparing the detection and quantification limits obtained for benzocaine using BIA associated with amperometric detection, it was verified in the literature that the values are similar to others studies involving electrochemical techniques, applied to different samples . However, it was not possible to make this comparison for tricaine, since there are still no reports in the literature.…”

“…Amperometric sensors using carbon printed electrodes (CPEs) have many advantages such as being portable and disposable, as well as being able to be used successfully for the quantification of different compounds . In addition, CPEs can be easily coupled to batch injection analysis (BIA) for rapid analyses with high sensitivity .…”
