“…Management literature does not offer many options for dealing with black swan (Parameswar et al, 2021) or disruptive events. The policy and strategy options in dealing with black swan events include developing robust systems capable of responding to the situation, and factoring in costs and adverse outcomes when making projections about the future (Krupa and Jones, 2013).…”

“…Bibliometric analysis quantitatively reviews the static literature (Aria and Cuccurullo, 2017; Chaudhuri et al , 2021; Christofi et al , 2021b, c; Liu et al , 2015; Pereira et al , 2019; Sharma et al , 2020a; Sun and Grimes, 2016; Vrontis et al , 2021; Vrontis et al , 2021; Vrontis and Christofi, 2019). Bibliometric analysis provides a structured analysis and demonstrates the pattern of the literature over a period of time, identifies the themes in the literature, and determines the institutions, authors, and countries contributing to the research themes (Aria and Cuccurullo, 2017; Parameswar et al , 2020a; Punjani et al , 2019; Saha et al , 2020; Sun and Grimes, 2016; Vrontis et al , 2020). Bibliometric analysis identifies the corpus of literature in an area (in this case, strategic alliance) and analyzes existing studies' bibliographic data to determine the state of the literature.…”

“…A broader agenda for further research would thus be to identify SC risk mitigation strategies that are effective in mitigating the consequences of high-impact, low-probability events. A call for research that is also supported by other researchers such as Akkermans and Van Wassenhove (2018) and Parameswar et al (2021).…”
