Boron: Metallacarbaboranes

Abstract: Metallacarbaboranes comprise carbon, boron, and metal‐atom‐containing clusters. The classes of compounds and their syntheses are described, as well as skeletal isomerism, electrochemistry, and reactivity. The applications of metallacarbaboranes in biosciences, medicinal chemistry, and materials science are gradually becoming more significant.
