Abstract:This paper presents a novel metasurface antenna element and a novel metasurface antenna array, both of which have broadband low radar cross section (RCS) performance. The antenna element is constructed by two kinds of H‐shaped metasurface unit cells. One kind of H‐shaped metasurface unit cells is properly fed to radiate, and the other unit cells are used to cancel the scattering field from the former.
