Broadband suppression of simultaneous switch noise (SSN) using Z-Bridge Planar Electromagnetic Bandgap power distribution network for Ultra Wide Band (UWB) application

Abstract: This paper proposed a Z-Bridge Planar Electromagnetic Bandgap (ZP-EBG), which can effectively suppress simultaneous switching noise (SSN), and can be used in UWB application. Using the Z-bridge with slot or meander line to improve the bandgap. The simulation and measurement results indicated that suppression bandwidth is broadened from 280MHz to 15 GHz.
