Building with the beeoids

Abstract

Artist Aganetha Dyck collaborates with bees to produce inventive and unusual art. We demonstrate a swarm system that mimics this collaboration allowing designers to interact with simple agents called beeoids to produce virtual threedimensional constructions. We show how the system responds to changes in user input and how interactive evolution can be used to change the behaviour of the system.
