Abstract:Rotational atherectomy enhances successful stenting in high risk, limited option PCI. Independent risk factors for mortality, not surprisingly, include older age, reduced LVEF, renal insufficiency and diabetes. These results support the continued importance of rotational atherectomy to support the growing frequency of high risk, no option PCI patients often with complex calcified lesions.
