C-Band Rectangular Dra With Defective Ground Structure for Satellite Uplink Applications

Abstract: The C-band RDRA with a defective ground structure operated at resonant frequency 6.2 GHz is best suitable for satellite uplink applications. In the C-band, the broad aperture slot and pentagonal-shaped defective ground structure (DGS) offer excellent isolation and great efficiency. The simple prototype of designed pentagonal DGS RDRA is fabricated, tested, and validated.
