“…The XRD patterns confirmed the presence of high purity NiO NPs for calcination at 800°C for 2 h. The XRD patterns for 4a and 4b are indexed using standard patterns (ICDD card number: 01‐073‐1519) for NiO. [ 75,76 ] From the analysis of positions and relative intensities of the diffracted peaks, the high degree of crystallinity nature of NiO NPs with single phase cubic structure and space group Fm‐3m are confirmed.…”

“…Bania et al developed Pd-NiO nanoparticles formed over zeolite-NaY for Suzuki-Miyaura couplings of aryl chlorides in 2017. 10 The combination of the Pd-NiO/zeolite-NaY catalyst and microwave irradiation was able to accelerate the coupling reactions at 50 °C and provide the desired coupling products in good yields (82-92%) within 20 minutes (Scheme 2). Traditional heating conditions resulted in moderate product yields (42-48%) and a long reaction time (16 h).…”

“…The Pd-NiO species were predicted as "true catalyst" by cyclic voltammetry study. Whereas, NiO represents as an active surface for redox reaction to in situ generated Pd(0), which represents the active species for C-Cl bond activation step [83]. Though the reaction displayed high conversions of aryl chlorides, the generality of the reaction was demonstrated with a number of substrates.…”
