Nghiên cứu tận dụng sinh khối Artemia (Artemia franciscana) kết hợp rau củ sấy để chế biến sản phẩm gia vị rắc cơm hay còn gọi là furikake đã được thực hiện qua 3 thí nghiệm: (i) nghiên cứu ảnh hưởng của thời gian sấy đến chất lượng Artemia khô, rong biển và cà rốt; (ii) ảnh hưởng của tỷ lệ gia vị phối trộn đến chất lượng cảm quan của sản phẩm gia vị rắc cơm, (iii) theo dõi sự thay đổi ẩm độ và vi sinh vật của sản phẩm trong quá trình bảo quản ở nhiệt độ phòng. Kết quả cho thấy, sấy Artemia trong 6 giờ ở 60℃ đạt độ ẩm thấp 6,08% và hiệu suất thu hồi là 17,9%. Thời gian sấy rong biển và cà rốt đạt chất lượng tốt lần lượt là 7 giờ và 2 ngày. Sản phẩm gia vị rắc cơm có chất lượng cảm quan tốt, vị hài hòa, độ ẩm, protein, lipid và khoáng lần lượt là 18,0 điểm, 5,86%; 21,9%; 15,6% và 11,0% tương ứng khi phối trộn tỷ lệ gia vị đường: muối là 5%: 5%. Chất lượng sản phẩm gia vị rắc cơm vẫn ổn định sau 4 tuần bảo quản ở nhiệt độ phòng.
