“…CA-NP30 may enhance the humoral and cellular immune response in mice. Sanganagouda Koppad et al [16] coupled calcium phosphate (CaP) particles with inactivated Newcastle disease virus (NDV) vaccines. Compared to commercial live vaccines (RDV'F '), CaP-conjugated NDV vaccines can also induce long-term hematocrit inhibition (HI) and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) titers, (CMI) from 2 weeks to 4 weeks after inoculation.…”

“…The end point titre was expressed as 50% embryo lethal dose (ELD 50 ) per ml as calculated by the method described by Reed and Muench (1938). Infective allantoic fluid (AF) containing field isolate of NDV having ELD 50 10 8.7 /1 ml of AF was inactivated by treating with formalin at final concentration of 1:1000 following the method described by Koppad et al (2011). Inactivation of NDV was checked by two serial passages in ECE resulting in live embryos with no HA activity in their allantoic fluids.…”

“…Vaccination is an important measure used successfully for prevention and control of Newcastle disease for longer. Koppad et al [13] stated that inactivated Newcastle disease viral particles coupled with calcium phosphate nanoparticle as a adjuvant exhibited prolonged and improved humoral and cell mediated immune response in comparison with commercial live ND vaccines. Robin et al [14] constructed recombinant HTV clones, which expressed the fusion and HN proteins of NDV and when chickens were inoculated at 1 day age with recombinant HVT expressing the NDV fusion protein, had an immunological response and were protected (>90%) against lethal intramuscular challenge at 28 days of age with the neurotropic velogenic NDV strain Texas GB.…”
