Calculation of shear stresses in the soil of the subgrade using empirical plasticity conditions

Abstract: The aim of the work is to replace the criterion of the original Mohr – Coulomb criterion with an empirical plasticity condition in which the limit state arises at deformation εlim<15 %. As a result of the analysis of experimental data on testing soils by triaxial compression, an empirical plasticity criterion is obtained. The limiting state by the empirical criterion occurs when the sample is deformed by 10–12%.
